Our Mission

The Women In Recycling Foundation is on a mission to foster a sustainable environment, particularly for women, including young women and women with disabilities, by promoting gender-inclusive waste management systems. We are dedicated to equipping women with the skills they need to address the challenges posed by waste management, recycling, and climate change. Our mission is to empower women, promote environmental sustainability, and contribute to climate resilience through effective waste management and recycling practices. .

Msasani Beach Clean Up

The Women In Recycling Foundation succeeded to conduct beach clean up Â at Msasani beach near by Mbalamwezi beach together with other partners and supporters ,we have successfully collected 490 kg of plastic waste and 10kg of glass bottlesÂ

On 13 th May 2021, the Women in Recycling Foundation(WORF) got an invitation from TAMWA participate on Argument on the issue of what stakeholders and communities should do to support the efforts our Honorable President Samia Suluhu Hassan in achieving gender equality, a topic that was aired on ITV and sponsored by TAMWA and UN WOMEN .
